Brevard Falls to Pfeiffer in Final Game of Series

MISENHEIMER, N.C.- In seven innings of action, Brevard suffered another setback at the hands of Pfeiffer, 13-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Brevard (6-27) was held to only one run for the second game in a row, and gave up double-digit runs to Pfeiffer (26-7) in as many games. Jordan Eckard led the way for the Falcons on offense, as he recorded a game-high four RBI on three hits in the game. For the Tornados, Joseph Nelms provided the only RBI for Brevard in the third inning.

Trailing 3-0 heading into the second inning, Nelms was able to place a base hit into center field that was able to bring home Ryan Roon to cut the deficit to two runs.

Donny Carsillo, Beau Shealy, Eddie Mattocks and Roon each recorded two hits on the afternoon, and the team was able to tally 12 hits in the contest.

Brevard will go on the road for the final series of the season, as the team will take on William Peace in a three-game series that will start at 5:00 p.m. on April 20.
