Pfeiffer's Hot Bats Down Brevard

BREVARD, N.C.- Jadon Wooten and Ryan Roon each recorded two RBI on the afternoon, but it was not enough for Brevard to overcome Pfeiffer, who won the game 21-7 on Friday afternoon at Gil Coan Field.

After falling behind 7-0 early in the game, Brevard (6-18) was able to cut the deficit to three runs after the third inning, where the Tornados racked up four runs on six hits. The bottom half of the third was highlighted by four different Tornados recording an RBI, as Roon, Tyler Timms, Drake Black and Wooten each contributed to the offensive production.

Pfeiffer (18-7) was able to score at least one run in eight innings, as Bryan Kowalski led all players with five RBI. Jordan Eckard (4), Christian Marciano (3) and Chaston Gordon (3) were the other Falcons to notch multiple RBI on the afternoon.

Nick Richmond was strong on the mound for Pfeiffer, as he threw 11 strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work. The Falcon pitching staff also maintained control throughout the game, as they did not allow a walk in the contest.

Ryan Williams started the game for Brevard, as Williams and fellow senior Jake Christian combined for 7.0 total innings pitched and four strikeouts.

Brevard and Pfeiffer will meet again tomorrow at Gil Coan Field, with the first game of the doubleheader set to begin at noon.
