Head Coach Anna Grant has announced the 2019 schedule for the Brevard College Tornados Volleyball program.
The 2019 slate includes a return trip to the Rhodes College Invitational, hosted by Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, seven home matches at the Boshamer Gymnasium, 14 USA South Conference matches, and a total of 12 neutral-site contests. 2019 will also mark the USA South Conference’s move to quad-match format.
The Brevard College Volleyball team earned its first win of 2018 with a resounding three-set sweep over Berea as part of a USA South Conference tri-match held Saturday at the Boshamer Gymnasium. In the earlier match of the day for the Tornados, Brevard dropped a four-setter to Huntingdon.

The Tornados lost in straight sets to Huntingdon (9-6, 2-0) before dropping a four-setter to host Barea (2-8, 1-1).
The Brevard College Volleyball team (0-10, 0-1) dropped its USA South Conference opener to Piedmont College (4-4, 1-0) 3-0 on Wednesday evening at the Boshamer Gymnasium. The Lions defeated the Tornados 25-23 in a tight first set, before taking the second set 25-20 and the third set 25-14.
The Tornados return to action on Saturday with a trip to Berea, Ky. for conference matches against Huntingdon and host Berea.
The USA South today announced the preseason coaches' poll for women's volleyball, picking the Tornados to finish T-3rd alongside Piedmont. Both Piedmont and Brevard finished with 34 points in the preseason edition of the coaches' poll. 4th year Head Coach Anna Grant's young squad will look to build on a successful 13-7 campaign. 2017-18 also saw the Tornados finish with an 11-5 record against current conference opponents, a good sign as Brevard will be eligible this year to compete for a USA South regular-season championship.
