BREVARD, N.C. – The 2020-21 Brevard College women's tennis team has been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, garnering the program's sixth All-Academic Team selection for maintaining a team GPA of 3.449.
The award marks the third consecutive year that BC women's tennis has earned All-Academic Team status from the ITA, and its sixth selection in school history – as the Tornados were also honored in 2008, 2009, 2016, 2019, and 2020.
In order to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
· have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
· all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
· all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
