BREVARD, N.C. – Reigning USA South Conference Player of the Week Samantha Sepe continued her dominance with wins in both singles and doubles as the Brevard College Women's Tennis team (12-6, 6-2 USASS) dropped the team competition, 7-2, to conference leaders Piedmont (16-4, 8-0 USAS) on Tuesday afternoon at the McCoy Tennis Complex.  The match marked the regular season finale for the Brevard College Women's Tennis team.

Sepe defeated Caroline Connelly 6-0, 6-1 in number one singles to emphatically avenge a three-set loss to Connelly in their first meeting on Feb. 25 at Piedmont.  With the win, Sepe closed out the 2019 regular season with 12 straight wins in singles play.  Over the 12-match streak, Sepe dropped just one set and started the streak with eight straight 6-0, 6-0 wins not dropping a single game.

The junior from Niceville, Fla. concluded her debut season with the Tornados with a 13-2 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in USA South Conference singles play. (Note: The first meeting between Brevard and Piedmont did not count as a conference match).

Sepe teamed up with senior Kelsey Kushner in number one doubles to defeat Piedmont's Megan Waldheim and Morgan Buchholz 8-5.  With the win, the team of Sepe and Kushner improved to 7-0 in USA South doubles play and 11-2 overall as a doubles tandem.

Piedmont won the remaining singles and doubles matches to take the 7-2 win, as the Tornados concluded their 2019 season that included a 10-match win streak matching the longest win streak (2008-09) in program history.

In addition to Sepe and Kushner's success, freshman Eleanor Flannery provided a big boost going 12-2 in overall singles play and 5-2 in conference singles matches this season.  Kushner and fellow senior Darden King also produced winning records both overall and in conference play.
