BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Women's Tennis team (8-4) continued its winning ways by claiming its sixth-straight victory by defeating Johnson University (2-10), 7-2, at the McCoy Tennis Complex on a chilly Tuesday afternoon in Brevard, N.C.

Tuesday's matinee saw brand new doubles pairings for the Tornados, which Brevard swept through.

First, the pairing of Samantha Sepe and Darden King claimed a no. 1 doubles sweep, 8-0, over JU's Hannah Hamm and Annalise McDonald.

BC's Jen Cox and Margaret Correll defeated Madi Buchanan and Danielle Keehner in a hard-fought, 8-5 decision, while the pairing of Eleanor Flannery and Mekenzie Bowman took an 8-3 decision over Johnson's Emily Allen and Olive Anderson.

Sepe kicked off singles play with a quick, 6-, 6-0 sweep over Keehner to continue her solid form. Sepe has now won a singles match in each of Brevard's last six matches.

Three more Tornados claimed singles victories to round out BC's 7-2 triumph. King (no. 2), Flannery (no. 5), and Bowman (no. 6) each won singles matches on Tuesday afternoon.

Flannery, who made her first-career appearance at the five-line for the Tornados, improves undefeated singles record to 8-0.

The BC Women's Tennis team claimed their eighth victory of the 2018-19 season, which is the program's highest win total since the 2011-12 season. The 2011-12 season was also the last time that the program earned double-digit wins in a season, a mark that the 2018-19 Tornados will reach with just two more wins.

Brevard will return to USA South Conference play this Saturday, March 30 as it hosts Agnes Scott at the McCoy Tennis Complex at 11:30 a.m.
