Tornados Sweep Wesleyan to Extend Win Streak to Five Matches

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Women's Tennis team (7-4, 2-0 USAS) won its fifth-straight as it swept the Wesleyan College Wolves (0-4, 0-3 USAS), 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the McCoy Tennis Complex. 

Samantha Sepe (no. 1 singles), Margaret Correll (no. 5 singles), and Eleanor Flannery (no. 6 singles) didn't drop a single point in their singles matches en route to BC's dominant victory over Wesleyan. With the victory, Flannery remains undefeated in singles action as a Tornado. 

Sepe and Kelsey Kushner won the no. 1 doubles match, 8-3, to extend their win streak as a duo to five matches. 

The pairing of Darden King and Jen Cox claimed a no. 2 singles victory, while Mekenzie Bowman and Carmen Boone made their debut as a doubles pairing, winning 8-1 in no. 3 singles. 

In addition to Sepe, Correll, and Flannery's singles sweeps, Kushner (no. 2 singles), King (no. 3 singles), and Cox (no. 4 singles) also earned singles victories.

The Tornados continue their season-long four-match homestand as they face Johnson University in non-conference action at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 before returning to USA South conference play on Saturday, March 30 against Agnes Scott at 11:30 a.m.
