Saunders, who is in her third year on the coaching staff at Brevard, played collegiate soccer at University of Montevallo, where she started in every Falcons’ match during her four-year career and served as captain for her final two.

The Devon, England native has coaching experience coaching two international youth soccer clubs helping with development of skills and running game day operations.

Saunders coaches for the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP), which focuses its energy on identifying players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, which will lead to increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena. The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

While playing at Montevallo, Saunders made a lasting impact on the program as a senior where she was named the athletic department's DeWayne Peevy Award winner, given annually to the individual who exemplifies school spirit.

She started every match over the course of her collegiate career, and as a senior netted two goals and finished with four points on the season. The three-time Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll member scored two goals came against Lander and Georgia College, where she combined for 10 shots, including three shots on goal. Saunders also had a solid outing against Georgia Southwestern and Georgia College, where she recorded four shots in each contest.

Additionally she has a USSF D license.
