Brevard’s Sallie Riggan Picked to USA South Women’s Soccer All-Sportsmanship Team

BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College junior midfielder Sallie Riggan was selected as BC's representative on the USA South Conference Women's Soccer All-Sportsmanship Team.

Riggan, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, started 17 games in 2019 for the Tornados, scoring a penalty kick in a 2-1 victory over Wesleyan College.

The junior, who is majoring in Art, has played and started in 49 games over the course of her three-year career for the Tornados. Riggan has totaled four goals, an assist, and two game-winning goals so far for Brevard.

Following the Tornados' season-finale at Toccoa Falls College being canceled due to inclement weather, Head Coach Juan Mascaro's squad ends their season with five victories. Four of those wins came in USA South Conference play, as the Tornados' 4-4 conference record gave them a fifth-place finish in the USA South's west division.
