Brevard Women’s Soccer Announces 2018 Slate

2018 BREVARD COLLEGE SOCCER SCHEDULE

BREVARD, N.C.
– One year after posting the best record in the program's NCAA history (11-6-1), the Brevard women's soccer team will host nine matches at Ives-Lemel Field as part of the 2018 schedule released on Thursday.

The Tornados will take part in two scrimmages, including the season opener at Southern Wesleyan on Aug. 22 in Central, S.C., at 5 p.m. Brevard then hosts its second scrimmage on Aug. 28 against Montreat at home.

The regular season begins with a trio of road matches at Emory & Henry (Aug. 31), Oglethorpe (Sept. 2), and Guilford (Sept. 4). Brevard then hosts its longest homestand of the season against USA South Conference foes Methodist (Sept. 8), William Peace (Sept. 14) and Averett (Sept. 15).

Brevard closes out September by taking to the road for three of the next four matches, facing Salem (Sept. 18), Agnes Scott (Sept. 29), Wesleyan (Sept. 30). The only home match in that stretch takes place on Sept. 22 when the Tornados host Berea, who they downed 3-0 a season ago.

The October slate begins with a trek to Piedmont (Oct. 3), but the Tornados return home to face Covenant three days later. Brevard follows a mid-week match at Bob Jones (Oct. 9) with a weekend set of home contests against LaGrange (Oct. 12) and Huntingdon (Oct. 13).

The Tornados close out their USA South Conference schedule on the road at Maryville (Oct. 17) and Pfeiffer (Oct. 24) before wrapping up the season against Regent University (Oct. 27) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs in Brevard's NCAA history.
