BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard senior soccer player Sydney Alencewicz was named First-Team NCCSIA All-State selection for the college division on Wednesday.

The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) announced its selections for the 2017 College Division All-State Women's Soccer Teams on Wednesday. Twenty-two players from 10 different North Carolina institutions were named to the College Division All-State Teams

Alencewicz, along with 10 other women's soccer players from various schools across North Carolina, was named a First-Team selection for her performance during the 2017 campaign.

The senior helped anchor a Tornado back line that allowed just 1.15 goals per game and notched seven shutouts. She also scored eight goals and logged a pair of assists for 18 points, which ranked second on the team.

Alencewicz finished her Brevard playing career with 51 games played and 49 starts, nine goals, two assists, and 20 total points scored.
