Brevard aims for their fourth-straight victory

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard women's soccer team seeks its fourth straight win in as many matches on Tuesday night against Maryville (Tenn.) at 6 p.m.

The Tornados (5-2-0) have not won four consecutive matches since the 2009 season, when the team started 4-0 on the year.

During the win streak, Brevard has averaged 2.66 goals per match and by virtue of tough defense has held the opposition to 0.66 goals per match.

The offense has been well-balanced over the past three matches, as five different Tornados have recorded a goal.

On the defensive end, Brevard has limited their competition to 10.66 shots per match and goalkeeper Rebeccah Rojas has averaged 5.66 saves per match.

Brevard will look to contain Maryville's Bailey Sipos, who leads the team with 23 points on 11 goals and one assist.

Maryville comes into the match with a four-match winning streak of their own, where they have outscored their last four opponents 16-1.

This will be the first matchup between the two schools since Brevard joined the NCAA ranks in 2007.
