Tornados shut out the Scotties, earn second straight victory

DECATUR, Ga.- Brevard women's soccer recorded their second consecutive shutout by beating Agnes-Scott 2-0.

Mai Sakuma scored her first goal of the season, along with Caroline David scoring her second goal of 2017.

In the 25th minute, Sakuma buried the first goal of the game from an assist by Sallie Riggan.

Early in the second half, David found the back of the net in the 48th minute off an assist from Lane Berchtold.

The Tornados tied their season-high in assists (two) which was established in the season opener against Saint Andrews (Sept. 2).

On the defensive end freshman Rebeccah Rojas recorded five saves on the match, and notched her third shutout of the season.

With the win the Tornados move to (4-2) on the season, and will go on the road on September 23 to take on the Methodist Monarchs at 1 p.m.
