BREVARD, N.C.- Eleven days after suffering a setback to Meredith, Brevard women's lacrosse will aim to rebound against Piedmont on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Tornados will return to the friendly confines of Ives-Lemel Field, where the team has won three of their last four home contests and have averaged 19 goals per game in those wins.

SCOUTING PIEDMONT

Piedmont (9-5) heads into the contest on a two-game winning streak by beating Methodist and Berry, both in Demorest, Ga. The Lion's offensive attack is led by Rowan Bumpass and Caitlin O'Brien, who have scored 37 and 35 goals on the season, respectively.

SENIOR TRIO LEADS THE WAY

Through the 11 games played this season, the top three points leaders for the Tornados come from seniors Nina Siu (52), Victoria Hayes (35) and Kelly Kearnan (24). Siu also ranks tied for 8th in the USA South Conference with 41 goals on the 2018 campaign.

DEFENSE STAYS SOLID IN VICTORIES

In Brevard's four wins this year, the Tornados have held their opponents under 10 goals three times, while recording one shutout against Salem (Feb. 28). Brevard has also controlled the scoring margin, winning those four games by an average of 15.3 goals per victory. Individually, three Tornados have recorded double-digit caused turnovers this season in Kearnan (21), Penina Fungalei (19) and Micaiah Vacchiano (14).

HOME SWEET HOME

Brevard currently sits at 3-3 this season at home, and with one win in one of their last two home games, the Tornados will finish with at least a .500 record at Ives-Lemel Field for the first time in program history.
