Tornados Meet Felician on Wednesday

BREVARD, N.C. – After a four-day break in its schedule the Brevard women's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Felician at Ives-Lemel Field at 1 p.m. It is the first of four straight home games for the Tornados, who are in search of their first win at home this season.

Brevard (1-5) is looking to return to the win column after a 14-7 setback at Pfeiffer on Saturday, March 3rd.

The Falcons broke a four-all tie at the intermission with 10 goals in the second half as they emerged with the victory. Nina Siu led all Brevard scorers with four goals while Macaiah Vacchiano added two and Kelly Kearnan one in the contest. Despite the loss, goaltender Shelby Arsenault finished with 10 saves for the Tornados.

Siu leads the way for the Brevard offensive attack with 19 goals while Victoria Hayes is second with 14. Vacchiano, who has scored multiple goals in her last two outings, has climbed to third with nine goals. Meanwhile, Arsenault leads the way with 56 saves in 330 minutes of action.

Felician (0-3) has struggled on defense this season allowing at least 20 goals in each of its three outings against Queens (N.Y.) (20-3), Molloy (23-0) and Catawba (24-1). On offense the Golden Eagles are led by Christianna Louzan who is the lone player on the roster with multiple goals (two).
