Women’s Golf Closes Out Fall Season at the Converse Fall Invite

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Women's Golf team finished up the fall portion of its schedule with a trip to Roebuck, S.C. to compete in the Converse Fall Invite hosted by Converse College. The course was a Par 72 and totaled 5881 yards.

Two Tornados competed in the event, Taylor Scovel and Hali Carrabis. Both BC student-athletes competed on an individual basis. In total, eight institutions took part in the Converse Fall Invite.

On the first day of action, Scovel fired an opening-round 86 (+14), which put her in a tie for 18th place. Carrabis also started the day's action but did not finish her round.

Scovel then participated in the second day of action at the Carolina Country Club where she scored a final round 84 (+12), finishing the tournament tied for 17th place.

Scovel enjoyed individual success in the fall portion of the season, She won the weather-shortened Mars Hill Fall Invitational with a two-over par 74.
