Women's Golf kicks off the fall season at the Bob Dibble Classic

GREENVILLE, Tenn. - The Brevard College Tornados Women's Golf team began their fall slate of competition by taking part in the Bob Dibble Classic for the second year in a row. Coach Bob Winch sent three Tornados to the event, Taylor Scovel, Hali Carrabis, and Teagan Custer

The three Tornados competed on an individual basis for the tournament. Taylor Scovel highlighted the tournament for Brevard, placing 17th by way of a solid opening round 83 (+12) on Monday, followed by a second round 84 (+13) early Tuesday morning. Scovel's combined score of 167 (+25) was the lowest score for Brevard on the tournament. 

Hail Carrabis and Teagan Custer also represented Brevard at the Bob Dibble Classic. Carrabis posted an opening round 90 (+19), which she followed up with a 97 (+26), giving her a total of 187 (+45). Custer carded a 97 (+26) followed by a 98 (+27) for a grand total of 195 (+53). Carrabis and Custer finished 22nd and 26th, respectively. 

Both the men's and women's golf teams will return to action, as they will take part in the Mars Hill Invitational. The tournament will take place in nearby Arden, N.C. at Broadmoor Golf Links from Sept. 24-25th.
