Taylor Spangler is entering her fourth year as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. A native of Mount Airy, NC, Spangler played four years at Brevard College, earning captain honors for 3 years under then-Head Coach Shannon Reid and current Head Coach Donald Hudson.

Since joining the program this year, Spangler said that this is a huge learning experience for her. She talked about how her basketball IQ got her through the game as a player, but now she has to tune that IQ into a coaching mentality.

Spangler said that knowing some of the previous players and their strengths and weaknesses makes coaching them a little easier. Spangler played with returners Lynsey Crisp, Kelsie Rhyne, Kyley Clark, Madison Lenox, and Whitney DeMoss.

“I’m very eager and excited about this new journey. Coach Hudson and I communicated very well when I was a player and I’m truly honored for this experience and to learn from him.”
