BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Women's Basketball team has finalized its 2018-19 schedule, announced Head Women's Basketball Coach Donald Hudson.

The slate includes some quality non-conference competition in addition to USA South Conference play. The Tornados will be eligible this year for regular season championships and All-Conference awards for the first time as a member of the USA South Conference as Brevard College finishes its transition to the NCAA Division III level.

Brevard College will open its 2018-19 schedule on Friday, November 9 as they travel to Toccoa, Ga. to take on the Toccoa Falls Eagles at 6 p.m. Just like the Men's Basketball squad, Coach Hudson's team will play a home-and-away series with Toccoa Falls, with the second contest taking place on Wednesday, November 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Boshamer Gymnasium in Brevard, N.C. The Tornados will also play a second home-and-away series against the Bruins of Bob Jones University. Brevard will travel to Greenville, S.C. on Monday, November 19 to entertain the Bruins at 7 p.m. before hosting BJU on Thursday, November 29 at 6 p.m.

Coach Hudson and the 2018-19 Tornados will make their home debut on Thursday, November 15 at 6 p.m. The Tornados enjoyed a 7-4 home record last season en route to a 12-13 overall record. This marked Brevard's best record in program history since joining the NCAA level during the 2007-08 season.

The Tornados will face off with two NCAA Division I opponents during the 2018-19 campaign. Brevard will make a trip to Spartanburg, S.C. to face USC Upstate on Tuesday, December 18 at 6 p.m. before heading down the road to clash with the Wofford Terriers on Wednesday, December 19 at 2 p.m. The meeting against Wofford marks the second straight year that the Brevard College Tornados Women's Basketball team will play a Southern Conference institution, as the Tornados faced off with the Western Carolina Catamounts in 2017-18.

BC opens USA South Conference play on Saturday, December 1 as they play host to Wesleyan (Ga.) at a start time to be announced. The Tornados play host to Maryville (Tenn.) on Wednesday, December 5th at 6 p.m. at Boshamer Gymnasium in Brevard, N.C. before hitting the road for some more USA South Conference action. Agnes Scott will host Brevard on Saturday, December 8 at 2 p.m.

The Tornados end their 2018-19 campaign with a home-and-away series against fellow NCAA Division III transitioning member Pfeiffer. BC will play host to the Falcons of Pfeiffer on Saturday, February 9 at 2 p.m. before hitting the road one final time to play Pfeiffer in Misenheimer, N.C. on Wednesday, February 13 at 6 p.m. Both Brevard and Pfeiffer are not eligible for USA South Conference postseason play but are able to win a regular season title along with All-Conference awards.

The Brevard College Tornados Women's Basketball team is coming off of its best regular season in Brevard's NCAA history as they finished with a 12-13 record. Head Coach Donald Hudson and Assistant Coach Taylor Hiatt enter their third season at the helm of the BC Women's Basketball program.
