  • Brevard College Athletics Announces Inaugural BC Athletics Tornado Club Auction

    The Brevard College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce its inaugural BC Athletics Tornado Club Auction. The online silent auction was made available on Monday, August 1 at 8 a.m. and runs until Wednesday, August 21 at 8 a.m., the date of the 11th annual BC Tornados Open held at the Lake Toxaway Country Club. 
  • Brevard College Women's Basketball Alumna Briana Clark Named Head Coach at Mars Hill University

    Briana Clark has been named the new Mars Hill women's basketball head coach, Director of Athletics, Rick Baker announced Thursday morning. Clark comes to Mars Hill after serving in the head coaching role at Spartanburg Methodist College for the past eight seasons.  During her tenure, Clark boasted a .628 winning percentage that included six regular-season Region X titles, five Region X tournament championships, five Region X Player of the Year accolades, and 21 Academic All-Americans.  Clark was also named Region X Coach of the Year four times.
  • Brevard College Women's Basketball Alumna Annalee Bollinger Named Assistant Coach at Averett University

    Averett University women's basketball head coach Aby Diop announced the addition of assistant coach Annalee Bollinger to the Cougars' program on Monday. A native of Hickory, North Carolina, Bollinger is no stranger to the USA South Athletic Conference. She had a four-year playing career, including her final three years at fellow USA South member Brevard College after transferring from Division II Saint Joseph's College in Indiana after her freshman season. While at Brevard, Bollinger was a team captain for three years, holds the NCAA-era school record for 3-pointers made and became a member of the 1,000-point club.
  • 91 Brevard College Student-Athletes Named USA South Academic All-Conference

    The USA South Conference on Friday morning released its annual USA South Academic All-Conference list, selecting 91 Brevard College student-athletes as Academic All-Conference selections. Additionally, 18 student-athletes collected “With Distinction” Academic All-Conference honors, accruing at least a 3.9 grade point average in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Brevard College’s Annalee Bollinger Earns USA South All-Sportsmanship Accolade

    Brevard College Women’s Basketball senior Annalee Bollinger has been named to the USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship team. Part of the USA South’s postseason awards, the USA South All-Sportsmanship team is nominated by coaching staffs across the Conference.

    In an impressive, record-breaking performance in her final career home game, Brevard College senior guard Annalee Bollinger exploded for 28 points, 23 of which coming in the second half, to push Brevard over Pfeiffer by a final score of 67-63 at the Bosh on Saturday afternoon.

  • Scots Storm Back to Defeat Tornados, 63-54

    The Brevard College Tornados (9-13, 5-10 USAS) dropped a hard-fought 63-54 decision to the Covenant Scots (8-14, 6-8 USAS) on Saturday afternoon. Brevard held a 28-24 lead at the half, but Covenant used a key third-quarter run to retake the lead and held off a late BC rally.

    The Brevard College Tornados Women’s Basketball team (9-10, 5-8 USAS) toppled the visiting Agnes Scott College Scotties (1-21, 1-11 USAS) by a final score of 73-49 on Saturday afternoon at the Boshamer Gymnasium behind a balanced attack. The Tornados improved to an impressive 6-3 record within the confines of the Boshamer Gymnasium, which is one win shy of tying the most single-season home wins in BC’s NCAA-era history, which was set in both the 2009-10 and the 2017-18 season.

The tight contest saw 11 ties and 11 lead changes, with the Scots pulling away in the final stanza to claim a USA South victory.

    The Brevard College Tornados Women’s Basketball team (7-9, 3-7 USAS) hung around with the first place Piedmont Lions (15-3, 9-0 USAS) for the better part of three quarters. However, the Lions outscored the Tornados 29-7 in the fourth quarter to triumph by a final score of 78-48.

    The Brevard College Tornados Women’s Basketball team (7-7, 3-5 USAS) embarks on its biggest road trip of the season as the Tornados rematch with the Maryville College Scots (6-9, 4-2 USAS) on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Maryville, Tenn. before heading to Demorest, Ga. for a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee against the USA South West Division-leading Piedmont College Lions (13-3, 7-0 USAS).
  • Six Tornados Score in Double Figures as BC Dominates Wesleyan in Macon

    The Brevard College Women's Basketball team (7-7, 3-5 USAS) defeated Wesleyan College (0-12, 0-5 USAS) in resounding fashion 98-25 on Saturday afternoon in a USA South Conference contest played at Central Georgia Technical College. 
  • LaGrange Pulls Away from Brevard in Overtime, 56-55

    The Tornados battled back to tie the game in the final seconds of regulation, however, a LaGrange steal and score with three seconds left pushed the LaGrange Panthers (6-6, 2-3) past the Brevard College Tornados Women’s Basketball team (6-7, 2-5) on Friday evening.
  • Brevard College Hits the Road for Back-to-Back USA South Matchups

    The Brevard College Tornados Women’s Basketball team (6-6, 2-4 USAS) will look to secure victory on the road this weekend as the Tornados travel to LaGrange, Ga. for a 6 p.m. tip-off against the LaGrange Panthers (on Friday before heading east to Macon, Ga. for a 2 p.m. rematch with Wesleyan College (0-10, 0-3 USAS) on Saturday at Central Georgia Technical College. The Tornados and Wesleyan College Wolves met in early December, with the Tornados prevailing by a final score of 84-30.
  • Mountaineers Prevail in Final Seconds Over Tornados

    The Brevard College Tornados (6-6, 2-4 USAS) returned home on Wednesday afternoon to face the first place Berea Mountaineers (9-2, 5-0 USAS) at the Boshamer Gymnasium. A late Berea run capped off by three-straight trips to the free throw line pushed the Mountaineers to a 61-60 lead with just one second remaining. Brevard’s last-second attempt by senior guard Annalee Bollinger rolled off the rim in heartbreaking fashion as Berea escaped Brevard with a one-point USA South Conference victory.

    The Brevard College Tornados (6-4, 2-3 USAS) wrapped up its back-to-back exhibition slate at the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C., falling to the NCAA DI Wofford Terriers (7-6) by a final score of 106-52 on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Women’s Basketball Drops Hard-Fought Exhibition Game Against USC Upstate

    The Brevard College Tornados (6-4, 2-3 USAS) fell in its first exhibition contest of 2018-19 to the USC Upstate Spartans (4-7) on Tuesday evening at the G.B. Hodges Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Tornados put together an incredible effort, hanging around with their NCAA DI counterpart for a majority of the contest. USC Upstate’s game-ending 11-0 run helped pull out a 71-53 victory.
