Bollinger Named to All-Sportsmanship Team

BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard junior point guard Annalee Bollinger was named to the USA South Women's Basketball All-Sportsmanship Team the league announced on Thursday.

Bollinger, a native of Hickory, N.C., leads the Tornados in 12 statistical categories including minutes played (618), field goals (90), field goals attempted (269), 3-point field goals (47), 3-point field goals attempted (150), free throws (60), free throws attempted (67), assists (50), points (287) and points per game (15.1).

Bollinger has topped double figures in 17 of Brevard's 19 games this season, scoring a season-high 27 against Maryville in the home opener on Nov. 29, 2017. She capped off the outing against the Scots by knocking down 9-of-21 (42.9%) from the floor, 8-of-15 (53.3%) from 3-point range and forced three steals.

The 27-point outing against Maryville is one of five for Bollinger during the 2017-18 campaign. Her first came in the season opener, at Berry College, where she poured in 23 points as the Tornados emerged with a 71-52 victory.

In an eight-point win against Saint Andrew's on Dec. 28, 2017, Bollinger knocked down 6-of-16 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the free throw line to cap off the game with 20 points. She most recently topped the 20-point mark in a victory over LaGrange, where she tallied 22, and Covenant, where she opened February play with a 22-point outing against the Scots.
