Brevard Returns to Action Against Bob Jones

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard women's basketball returns to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Greenville, S.C. to take on Bob Jones at 2 p.m.

The Tornados (2-4) will play their first game since Dec. 2, after having back-to-back games on the 1st and 2nd. Brevard knocked off Wesleyan 61-41 in their first game, but suffered a 77-66 setback to Covenant the next following day.

On the season, the Tornados are led on offense by junior Annalee Bollinger who leads the team in points (17.8 ppg) and assists (3.7 apg). Defensively, Brevard corrals just under 24 defensive rebounds per game and averages 32.8 rebounds per game total, and are led by senior Whitney DeMoss, who leads the team in that category (9 rpg).

In both of Brevard's wins on the season, the team has been a force on the defensive end of the floor, averaging 48 rebounds, 11.5 steals, and 5.0 blocks while allowing just 46.5 points per game in those contests.

Bob Jones (4-7) heads into the game coming off a 93-46 defeat at the hands of Furman, and will be playing their first home game since Nov. 17.

The Bruins are led on offense by Sarah Thomsen, who leads the team with 12 points per game, and has shot 21-of-48 (43.8%) from beyond the arc.

In the last meeting between the two schools, Brevard came away with the 73-65 victory on Nov. 15, 2016 in Boshamer Gymnasium.
