Track & Field Heads to Charlotte for 49er Classic

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard track and field teams will head to Charlotte for the 49er Classic this weekend.

The team returns to action for the first time since the Southern Indoor Challenge in Birmingham, Ala., last month, a meet where six Tornados finished in the top ten in their respective categories.  Among those athletes, Adam Spencer finished fourth in the 60 meter dash, Kaitlin Chaump placed seventh in the one mile run, and Joseph Roberts placed sixth in the men's shot put on the afternoon. 

Brevard also placed seventh in the men's 4x400 meter relay, a team that consisted of Orrlando Johnson, Jake Trainor, Leejhai Wells and Quentin Jackson as the team finished with a time of 3:48.46.

Over 80 schools will be attending this event, which will be held at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field.
