Huntingdon Sweeps Doubleheader from Brevard

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Emily White went 3-of-5 at the plate in both games combined today, however Huntingdon shut out Brevard twice on Saturday afternoon, 8-0 and 5-0.

In game one, Brevard (5-9) was limited to just two hits in the game as Huntingdon pitcher Lindsey Selph threw five innings of work with nine strikeouts while allowing only one walk. The Hawks were able to score five of their eight runs in the third inning, highlighted by McKenzie Ridgeway's two RBI base hit to build the Huntingdon lead to 5-0.

Game two of the doubleheader saw Huntingdon score all five of their runs in the third inning, led by Caitlyn Caffee's two RBI triple. Caffee led all players in both games today with four combined RBI.

Brevard pitcher Ricki Kuhn held the strikeout edge in the second game, as she threw three strikeouts in the contest compared to two for Madison Hunt.

The Tornados will return to action tomorrow, as they make their third stop in four days on the road against LaGrange.
