WISE, Va. - The Brevard College men's tennis team dropped a dual match, 7-0 to NCAA Division II University of Virginia-Wise on Saturday in Wise, Virginia.

Despite dropping every match in the team competition, the Tornados produced two highly competitive results in singles play.

In number two singles, Brevard's Ethan McGhee dropped two sets to UVA-Wise's Coleton Burke. In both sets, however, McGhee pressed Burke to a set tiebreaker before ultimately falling 7-6, 7-6.

Meanwhile, BC's Jamarcus Walker and John Robert Kilgore of UVA-W battled in the longest match of the day.  Walker won the first set 7-6 before Kilgore tied the match with a 6-4 win in set number two.  The third set tiebreaker went in favor of Kilgore who pulled away with a 10-7 win.

UVA-Wise swept the doubles competition, before winning each singles match to take the dual-match victory.

The Brevard College men's tennis team returns to action with a road match at Pfeiffer on Sunday, September 29 in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
