Tornados Drop Match to Montreat in Fall Action

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Men's Tennis team dropped a match 6-3 to Montreat in a fall contest played Saturday on the BC campus.

In number one singles, Mittring won handily in straight sets defeating Montreat's Leopoldo Lucero 6-1, 6-2.  

In doubles, Mittring teamed up with Tim Hengst to take on Montreat's top team of Lorward Choie and David Garcia.  The duo of Mittring and Hengst took care of business with an 8-3 victory.  

Brevard also garnered a win in number two doubles as the tandem of Will Christiansen and Tyler Frazee soundly defeated Montreat's Jackson Plyler and Grayson Chumley.

Montreat won in number three doubles and in five singles matches to clinch the win.

The Tornados will be back in action in the Spring of 2019 beginning with a road match at Southern Wesleyan in Central, S.C. on February 2.
