Brevard Looks to Continue Hot Streak Against Covenant

BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard's men's tennis team will take its two-match winning streak to Lookout Mountain, Ga. to take on Covenant on Saturday morning.

Brevard (3-10) is coming off a 7-2 win over Johnson C. Smith at the Brevard Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon, a match where Tom Mittring, Tim Hengst, Will Christiansen, Jaume Reig and David Bumgarner each picked up singles victories. In doubles play, the combos of Hengst/Mittring and Bumgarner/Christiansen took down their opponents to earn the team victory.

Covenant (9-2) heads into the match coming off a 9-0 sweep of Maryville on March 16, a match where all singles matches were won in straight sets and doubles combinations of Matthew Harvie/Chris Cox and Trey Wood/Paxton Haggerty won 8-2 and 8-3, respectively.

The Tornados will look to avenge their 6-3 setback to the Scots at the Asheville Racquet Club on March 10.
