BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Men's Soccer team (5-13-0) lost a tight 2-1 contest in its season-finale Saturday afternoon vs. Piedmont International (4-9-0).

Brevard continued to shut out the Bruins for the first 33 minutes of the second half until PIU's Javier Chavez scored the equalizer an in the 79th minute. Chavez would then strike again, just five minutes later, with an unassisted goal in the 85th minute.

The Tornados pushed hard to try to get an equalizer of their own in the final minutes of the match. However, the Bruins were able to hold off BC down the stretch to secure the victory.

The tight match saw an even shot total with each team registering 16 shots.  However, Piedmont International out-shot the Tornados 11-5 in the decisive second half.
