Tornados Drop Conference Match to NC Wesleyan

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Men's Soccer team (3-10-0, 2-7-0) dropped a USA South Conference match 4-0 to NC Wesleyan (5-4-1, 5-1-1) on Saturday afternoon at Ives Lemel Field.

The two teams opened the first 37 minutes of the match scoreless before NC Wesleyan scored in the 38th minute on a goal by Cadribo Godfrey. Trailing 1-0, the Tornados gave up the second goal to Godfrey in the 42nd minute as NC Wesleyan took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
 
NC Wesleyan pulled away further with two goals early in the second half as Dominique Giovanni scored a pair of goals in on the 57th and 60th minutes.
 
The Tornados fired off six shots in the contest, with three shots in each half.  Brock Tuttle had an early opportunity with a shot in the ninth minute that ht the post.  Late in the contest, Alejandro Courtney recorded a shot on goal in a quality chance that was saved by the NC Wesleyan goalkeeper.
 
Brevard's Patrick Hall played all 90 minutes at goalkeeper, recording nine saves.
 
The Brevard College Men's Soccer team returns to action on Sunday with another home conference match at 1 p.m. vs. Greensboro at Ives-Lemel Field.
