Brevard will look to bounce back in weekend series

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard men's soccer team will go on the road this weekend, looking to bounce back against Methodist on September 23 and N.C. Wesleyan the next day.

The Tornados head into the weekend at 1-2-0, with their most recent match being a loss at he hands of North Greenville 2-0 on September 18.

Methodist comes into the match at 5-2-1, riding a four-match winning streak. In those four victories, the Monarchs have averaged three goals per match while allowing just six goals in that same span.

On September 24 Brevard will then take on N.C. Wesleyan, another team hungry for a win as they enter the match 1-5-0 on the year.

The Battling Bishops are led on offense by sophomore Baboucarr Njie, who leads the team with three goals scored in the 2017 season.

For the Tornados they will look to get the offense back on track with the quick-strike style they played with against Huntingdon on September 9, a match that saw freshman Jorge Jimenez tally a hat trick in the 4-1 victory.

This will be the first meeting between Brevard and the two schools since Brevard joined the NCAA ranks in 2008.
