Men's soccer looks for first win against Huntingdon

BREVARD, N.C.- The Brevard men's soccer team looks to rebound from last week's loss when they host the Huntingdon Hawks on September 9th.

The Tornados were shut out for the first time since October 19, 2016, in a 3-0 loss to the Point University Skyhawks on September 2nd.

Heading into their first match with a USA South opponent this season, head coach Bob Winch says playing smart on offense will be an important key to the game.

"[We] have to value possession of the ball. With a USA South Conference opponent, they will all be battles," says Winch.

Despite last weekend's setback, Winch says the team will use the previous match to focus on improvement.

"Always move forward. Learn from past games, prepare and have to be better as a group the next time we compete," says Winch.

Both Huntingdon and Brevard will be looking to earn their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon.
