BREVARD, N.C.  – The USA South Conference announced its 2019 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship teams on Wednesday, selecting five Brevard College Tornados as recipients of postseason honors.

Jackson McKaig and Robert Kokal were named All-Conference First Team, while Sam Duffie and Daniel Ramos earned a nod on the All-Conference Second Team. Chris Efenecy was selected to the USA South Men's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship team.

McKaig, a senior attacker from Gainesville, Fla., rewrote the Brevard College Men's Lacrosse record books during his tenure as a Tornado. McKaig is Brevard's all-time leader in goals, assists, and points, and holds single-season records for points and goals. McKaig, along with teammate Hewitt Farr, holds the record for single-game goals. The senior also tied the record for single-game points in the 2018 season. This season, McKaig ranked second in the USA South in points and goals while placing third overall in assists.

Kokal, a junior long-stick midfielder from Monroe Township, N.J., ranked third in the conference with 91 ground balls to go along with 28 caused turnovers that also ranked third in the USA South. Kokal's 91 ground balls are the second-most all-time for Brevard in a single season, ranking second to Kokal's 92 ground balls snagged in 2018.

Duffie, a sophomore midfielder from Columbia, S.C., ranked third on Brevard in points, goals, and assists this season in 11 games played. In his first two seasons with the Tornados, Duffie has racked up 39 goals and 34 assists for a total of 73 points.

Ramos, a junior defender from Sebastian, Fla., snagged 50 ground balls and caused 20 turnovers en route to his All-Conference Second Team nod. Ramos has recorded 104 ground balls and 51 caused turnovers in his three seasons with the Tornados.

Efenecy, a senior long-stick midfielder from Waxhaw, N.C., earned Brevard's selection onto the USA South All-Sportsmanship team. Efenecy is a two-sport athlete at Brevard, playing lacrosse for two seasons while also being a member of the Men's Soccer program for four years.

As a team, Brevard claimed six victories, including three conference wins in the first season under the direction of Head Coach Jim Fritz and Assistant Coach Arno Olivier.
