    The Brevard College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce its inaugural BC Athletics Tornado Club Auction. The online silent auction was made available on Monday, August 1 at 8 a.m. and runs until Wednesday, August 21 at 8 a.m., the date of the 11th annual BC Tornados Open held at the Lake Toxaway Country Club. 
  • 91 Brevard College Student-Athletes Named USA South Academic All-Conference

    The USA South Conference on Friday morning released its annual USA South Academic All-Conference list, selecting 91 Brevard College student-athletes as Academic All-Conference selections. Additionally, 18 student-athletes collected “With Distinction” Academic All-Conference honors, accruing at least a 3.9 grade point average in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Five Tornados Secure USA South Men’s Lacrosse Postseason Honors

    The USA South Conference announced its 2019 Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship teams on Wednesday, selecting five Brevard College Tornados as recipients of postseason honors. Jackson McKaig and Robert Kokal were named All-Conference First Team, while Sam Duffie and Daniel Ramos earned a nod on the All-Conference Second Team. Chris Efenecy was selected to the USA South Men’s Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship team.
  • Brevard Men’s Lacrosse Honors Seniors in Season-Finale

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (6-7, 3-4 USAS) honored its 10 seniors on Saturday afternoon in its season-finale against the Huntingdon Hawks (11-6, 7-0 USAS) at Ives-Lemel Family Field. BC's senior class of Jackson McKaig, Huntley Davis, Chris Efenecy, Sean Pratt, Hewitt Farr, Jack Shade, Harrison Roberts, Raheem Brown,  Paxton Brown, and Peyton Mooney was honored at the halftime ceremony. In a tight match that came down to the final quarter, the Hawks of Huntingdon College secured the USA South Men’s Lacrosse Regular Season Championship after defeating the Tornados, 13-6.

    Following a dominant 18-5 victory over the Averett Cougars last week, Brevard College senior Hewitt Farr and junior Robert Kokal have garnered USA South Conference weekly honors. Farr earned the USA South Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Kokal snagged the USA South Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award.
  • Tornados Men’s Lacrosse Takes Emphatic Victory, 18-5, over Cougars in Road Finale

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (6-6, 3-3 USAS) returned to the .500 mark in impressive fashion by defeating the Averett Cougars (1-11, 0-6 USAS), 18-5, on Saturday afternoon in Danville, Virginia.  Averett took a slim, 2-1 lead after the first quarter before the Tornados took over, striking for five goals in the second to take a 6-3 lead at the half. BC’s offense exploded for nine scores in the third quarter, shutting out the Cougars in the process, en route to the 18-5 victory.
  • Piedmont Pulls Away Late to Down Brevard

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (5-6, 2-3 USAS) fell in USA South Conference action to the Piedmont College Lions (5-7, 2-2 USAS) by a final score of 13-9 on Friday evening in Demorest, Georgia. Piedmont outscored Brevard 4-1 in the second quarter to build its lead up before resisting a late Tornado rally to claim the victory.
  • McCarragher Awarded USA South Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week Honor

    Freshman goalkeeper Devin McCarragher was selected as the USA South Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week after helping Brevard College Men’s Lacrosse go undefeated last week. McCarragher (2-0) did a tremendous job in his first two career starts in goal filling in for senior Peyton Mooney, aiding the Tornados in victories against NCAA DII Emmanuel College and over USA South foe Greensboro College.
  • Men’s Lacrosse Wins Thriller over Greensboro, 12-10

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (5-5, 2-2 USAS) earned a hard-fought victory in thrilling fashion, 12-10, versus the Greensboro Pride (5-6, 0-2 USAS) at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Saturday evening. Down 6-4 at the halftime intermission, the Tornados rallied back, outscoring the Pride 8-4 in the second half to take the victory, 12-10.
  • McKaig Surpasses 200-Point Career Mark as Brevard Downs DII Emmanuel

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (4-5) defeated NCAA DII opponent Emmanuel College (3-7), 20-12, on the road on Wednesday afternoon in Franklin Springs, Ga. Jackson McKaig used eight goals and two assists to surpass the 200-point mark for his career as a Brevard College Tornado. In four seasons, McKaig has totaled 203 points on an impressive 141 goals and 62 assists, all of which are BC Men’s Lacrosse all-time program records for a career. McKaig currently ranks second in the USA South with 58 points in the 2019 season thus far.
  • Jackson McKaig Garners USA South Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Honor

    Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse senior Jackson McKaig has been named the USA South Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week following an impressive 10-point performance in a close, 17-16 defeat at USA South foe William Peace. McKaig becomes the first BC Men’s Lacrosse player to earn a USA South Athlete of the Week accolade in the 2019 season.
  • Late Comeback Rally Falls Just Short for Brevard Against William Peace

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (3-5, 1-2 USAS) fell in a close, 17-16 battle to the William Peace Pacers (4-6, 1-1 USAS) on Saturday afternoon at Ting Park in Holly Springs, N.C. With the match all square, 8-8, at the half, the Pacers outscored Brevard by a 6-1 margin in the third quarter to take a 14-9 lead into the contest’s final quarter.
  • Brevard Earns First Conference Victory at Methodist, 17-7

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (3-4, 1-1 USAS) secured its first USA South Conference victory of 2019 with a 17-7 victory over the Methodist Monarchs (5-4, 1-1 USAS) on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, N.C. 
  • Tornados Fall to Polar Bears in Brevard

    The Brevard College Tornados Men’s Lacrosse team (2-4) fell in non-conference play, 15-8, against the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears (4-1) on Saturday at Ives-Lemel Field on the campus of Brevard College.  Jackson McKaig highlighted BC’s performance, recording a team-high and game-high four goals along with BC’s only two assists. The Gainesville, Fla. native leads the USA South in points (35), goals (22), and is fourth in assists (13).
