Brevard Closes Out Season in a Setback to Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C.- Jackson McKaig scored a team-high six goals, but it was not enough for Brevard to overcome Pfeiffer in a 23-13 setback on Saturday night.

Junior Kyle Hunziker closed out his career by scoring two goals while dishing out four assists, while senior net-minder Xzavier Holmes-Copeland tallied five saves in 45 minutes of action. Robert Kokal and Hewitt Farr each joined McKaig and Hunziker in scoring multiple goals (two), and David Buono added one goal in the contest.

Brevard (9-3) was able to take an early 2-1 lead following goals from McKaig and Hunziker in the first five minutes, but Pfeiffer (10-3) was able to reel off nine unanswered goals to take a commanding lead in the game in which the Falcons would not look back from.

The Tornados were able to close the gap to five goals behind Kokal's goal to begin the third quarter of action, however Pfeiffer was able to close out the game on a 12-8 run to win the contest.

For the Falcons, Blade Garlow led all scorers with nine goals, followed by Ryan Cummings who was second on the team with five goals.
