Brevard Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Emmanuel

BREVARD, N.C. – Looking to rebound from their setback to Birmingham-Southern on Saturday, the Brevard men's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Emmanuel at 4 p.m. on Ives-Lemel Field.

The Tornados, who are 1-1 on the season, were led offensively by the combination of Jackson McKaig (four goals), Kyle Hunziker (two) and Jack Shade (one) in the 19-7 setback at Birmingham-Southern. Both Hunziker and McKaig added one assist each.

McKaig leads the way for the Brevard offense with nine goals on the season, followed by Hunziker (six), Sam Duffie (three) and Shade (two). Xza Holmes-Copeland, who has logged 106 minutes in goal for the Tornados, has made 19 saves to lead goalkeepers.

Emmanuel (0-1) also competed on Saturday, suffering a 17-5 loss to Pfeiffer at home. Five different Lions netted a goal in the win as the team finished with 13 shots on goal. Emmanuel also tallied 36 ground balls in the contest.
