Title: Assistant Coach

Miller comes to Brevard College in continuance of a career in the golf industry.  He has “quarter century club” designation as a golf professional in the PGA of America, having been a member over 25 years.

During his career Miller played in regional professional events, including open qualifying into a Nike Tour event (now recognized as the Web.com tour). He was club professional at various Carolinas clubs, most recently as managing partner, golf professional at Broadmoor Golf Links in Fletcher. During this time he taught many junior golfers, supported many junior and collegiate golf initiatives and most recently helped in the start-up of the UNC- Asheville women’s NCAA Division I golf program. 

Miller himself played collegiately at Western Carolina University where he was captain and a three time all Southern Conference selection and is a member of the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  He received his undergraduate (Sports Management) and graduate (Education) degrees from WCU. 

Miller is no stranger to Brevard College as in past years he has served as a Board of Director for the Tornado Club.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Carolinas PGA and the Transylvania County Boys and Girls Club, serves in two veterans programs (PGA Hope and Honor Flight) and has received several community service awards in Western NC and from the PGA of America for past involvement.
