FLETCHER, N.C. – Austin Fisher won the individual co-championship to lead the Brevard College Men's Golf team at this week's Mars Hill Fall Invitational held at the Broadmoor Golf Links.

Fisher shot an even-par 72 in Monday's first round to secure the co-championship with Liam Sweeney of Tusculum University.  Tuesday's second round was cancelled due to weather, making the first round results final and in turn crowning Fisher and Sweeney as co-champions.

Brevard College's Thomas Purcell and Thibault Tranchant finished in a tie for sixth place after each golfer fired a three-over-par 75.

A total of 28 golfers representing six different schools competed in the Mars Hill Invitational.

The Brevard College Men's Golf team returns to action next week at the Piedmont Fall Invitational, scheduled for October 1-2 at The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Ga.
