Fisher Finishes in Fourth at Tennessee River Rumble

TENNESSEE RIVER RUMBLE RESULTS

HARROGATE, Tenn.
– Brevard's Austin Fisher finished in a five-way tie for fourth place, resulting in his third top 10 finish of the season at the Tennessee River Rumble after firing a three-over-par 75 in the final round of action on Wednesday afternoon at the Tennessee National Golf Club in Harrogate, Tenn.

Fisher (74-75—149) got his day off to a solid start with two pars and a birdie in his first three holes, but a bogey at six moved him back to even par. He would par the next three holes before recording a birdie at eight and a par at nine. Fisher helped Brevard post its fourth top 10 team finish of the season as the Tornados were ninth of 16 teams.

Fisher's turn at the 10th hole resulted in back-to-back pars, but two bogeys and a double bogeys in a four-hole stretch proved to the difference as he finished four-over on the back nine and five-over-par for the tournament.

Lincoln Memorial's Dan Bradbury was the top individual finisher with a two-over-par for the event, closing with a 146 (75-71). He enjoyed the lowest second round score of any player, edging out Jake Headrick (Carson-Newman) and Liam Purslowe (Hillsdale College), who finished with a 148 (+4). Headrick's performance helped the Eagles capture top team honors as they finished 26-over-par and two shots in front of Lincoln Memorial.

Declan Addison enjoyed the second-best score on the Brevard scorecard, finishing at 10-over-par with a 154 (78-76). Addison's round began with four straight pars, but he was forced to overcome four straight bogeys between the fifth and eighth holes after closing the front nine with a birdie.

Addison trimmed one stroke off his score with a birdie at 10, but a bogey at 13 moved him to four-over-par. He had his second birdie of the afternoon at 17, but closed with a bogey at 18 as he finished the day at four-over-par.

Craig Stephen finished tied for 46th alongside Trey Pearson (Young Harris) after adding three strokes to his first round 77. Stephen (77-80—157) began with a par and back-to-back birdies at the second and third holes, but it was a bogey at five and double bogeys at seven and eight that moved him to three-over par.

Stephen's triple bogey at 10 was followed by a birdie at 11, but bogeys at 12, 16 and 18 left him at five-over-par on the back nine and eight-over-par on the afternoon.

Calum McAndrew (74-86—160) was 14-over-par in the second round and 16-over-par for the tournament after a second round 86. McAndrew's struggles began early as he carded three bogeys, two double bogeys and a triple bogey on the front nine, resulting in a 10-over-par.

McAndrew's back nine started in similar fashion as he was unable to find his rhythm with a bogey and three double bogeys in the first five holes. He ended on a good note with three birdies on 16, 17 and 18 to close at four-over-par on the back nine.

Hugo Herrera completed the card for the Tornados as he finished in a tie for 83rd with Belmont Abbey's Madison Duffie. Herrera's scorecard was peppered with five pars, 11 bogeys, and two double bogeys.

Brevard concludes its season next week when the team heads to the Emory Invitational on April 7-8. For more information on the Tornado men's golf team check out www.bctornados.com.
