Fisher Continues Solid Spring

RICHARD RENDLEMAN TOURNAMENT RESULTS

SALISBURY, N.C. –
Junior Austin Fisher continues his solid play in the spring as he finished in a three-way tie for 18th at the Richard Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba College.

Fisher, who fired an opening round 77, returned to the Country Club of Salisbury course on Tuesday and emerged with a 74 to close with a two-day score of 151 (+9). He was 13 shots off the pace set by Jordan Vogler (Lenoir-Rhyne) who took home the individual crown with a score of 138 (66-72; +4).

Fisher was one of two Brevard golfers to finish in the top 50 of the event along with Craig Stephen who was locked in a five-way battle for 32nd. Stephen, who carded a pair of 78's in the event, tallied a 156 (+14) in his second tournament of the spring.

Hugo Herrera had the third-best scorecard for the Tornados with a 168 (83-85; +26) that left him tied alongside Pfeiffer's John Kolaski in 67th. Teammate Thomas Purcell was close behind in 69th, one of four players to fire a 169 (82-87; +27) in the tournament.

Calum McAndrew completed the Brevard lineup with a 170 (81-89; +28) as he tied Livingstone College's Deangelo Stowe in 73rd.

Wingate took home the team title with a 575 (292-283; +7), edging out Lenoir-Rhyne and host Catawba who finished tied at 16 over par (584). Brevard capped off the event 11th in team scores after posting a 642 (318-324; +74), sandwiched between Belmont Abbey's 'B' and Wingate's 'B' units.
