Tornados Take Part in Lenoir-Rhyne Myrtle Beach Invitational

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard men's golf team is set to compete in its third tournament of the fall season this week when it participates in the Lenoir-Rhyne Myrtle Beach Invitational.

The tournament will take place at Ocean Ridge Plantation, a par-72, 7,072-yard course located in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., beginning on Monday.

The Tornados are one of 17 teams taking part in the event, along with the likes of Queens, Wingate, Anderson, Coker, Lincoln Memorial, Mars Hill, Chowan and the host Bears.

In Brevard's last outing, at the Tusculum Bob Dibble Classic, teammates Austin Fisher and Craig Stephen finished in the top 20. The duo led the way for a Tornado unit that finished eighth overall at the Links Hill Country Club course.

Fisher paced the Tornados unit by carding a 144 (72-72; +2) to finish tied for 10th alongside Tusculum's Brandon Alexander. Stephen joined him among top performers with scores of 75 and 72, finishing in a four-way tie for 20th place, as he notched his second top 20 outing of the season.
