GAME NOTES: COVENANT VS BREVARD

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados Men's Basketball team (5-16, 2-12 USAS) prepares for its final weekend homestand of 2018-19 as the Tornados welcome first-place Covenant College (14-7, 13-1 USAS) on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. before hosting Greensboro College (2-19, 1-12 USAS) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Senior guard Ke'Vel Kingsberry will be honored prior to the start of Saturday afternoon's contest as part of BC Basketball's Senior Day festivities honoring Brevard Men's and Women's Basketball seniors.

The Tornados will look to avenge an earlier loss to Covenant on Friday while facing Greensboro on Saturday for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign.

Kingsberry, a senior forward from Rocky Mount, N.C., has served as an integral leader on the BC Tornados during his final season. He has seen action in every single contest this season, making 17 starting appearances. Kingsberry tallied a season-high 10 points in a thrilling 73-70 victory over USA South opponent Averett on December 7, 2018.

After its weekend homestand, the Tornados play one final home game against Maryville College (15-6, 11-3 USAS) on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Boshamer Gymnasium before wrapping up the 2018-19 season on the road at Huntingdon College (10-11, 7-7 USAS) on Saturday, February 16 at 3 p.m. ET. Last season, the Tornados upset Maryville, the eventual USA South Tournament Champions, in a one-point, 79-78 decision.
