BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College (4-12, 1-8 USAS) fell to conference rival LaGrange (12-4, 8-1 USAS) 83-48 on Saturday afternoon at the Boshamer Gymnasium.

Levi Lamb led the Tornados with 15 points to go along with four rebounds.  Messiah Pankey was the only other BC player in double figures with 11 points and two made 3-pointers.  Qadhafi Turner also hit two shots from beyond the arc to add six points for Brevard.

Demari Hopper and Cannon Lamb led the Tornados on the glass, with each player pulling down five rebounds.

LaGrange was led by guard Julian Cameron, one of four Panthers to score in double figures, with 16 points.

The game began as a low-scoring, tight affair with Brevard leading 10-8 at the 13:55 mark of the first half with Levi Lamb responsible for all ten of the Tornados' points.  The Panthers then reeled off a 9-0 run over the next three minutes to take a 17-10 lead.

BC cut the deficit to four points after a jump shot by Hopper made the score 23-19 with 6:15 to play in the first half.  However, the Tornados fell behind from there as the Panthers reeled off an 11-0 run to take a 34-19 lead into halftime.

LaGrange pulled away even further at the start of the second half with a 15-0 run to take a 49-19 lead.  The Panthers would not look back from there, outscoring the Tornados by 20 points in the second stanza.

LaGrange outshot Brevard 57% to 30% from the field and 72% (15-of-21) to 52% (11-of-21) from free throw line.  The Panthers were able to dominate in transition with a 20-2 advantage in fast-break points.  In the interior, LaGrange was effective as well, outscoring Brevard 48-20 in the paint.

Brevard returns to action with another home USA South contest on Tuesday vs. Piedmont at 7:30 p.m. at the Boshamer Gymnasium.
