BREVARD, N.C. - Both Brevard College Tornados Basketball teams gear up for a weekend doubleheader as the LaGrange Panthers visit the Boshamer Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Brevard College.

The BC Men's Basketball squad (4-11, 1-7 USAS) open action up against the LaGrange Panthers (11-4, 7-1 USAS) at 2 p.m., while the BC Women's Basketball team (7-9, 3-7 USAS) follow shortly after at 4 p.m. against the LaGrange Panthers Women's team (10-7, 4-4 USAS). Action can be followed live with live stream (MBB|WBB) and live stats (MBB|WBB), as well as live updates @BCTornados on Twitter.

Both schools have already squared off on the hardwood in the 2018-19 season. Brevard and LaGrange's men's teams faced each other on December 16, 2018, as the Panthers prevailed in overtime by a final score of 80-73.

Since the sides met back in December, they have gone in different directions. LaGrange is currently on a five-game USA South winning streak, having yet to suffer a setback in the new year. Meanwhile, the Tornados are searching for their first victory since December 7, 2018, as Brevard opened its conference home slate with a thrilling 73-70 victory over Averett University. The Tornados overall have performed well at home, currently holding a 3-2 mark in 2018-19 at the Bosh.

On the women's side, Brevard and LaGrange played to a nail-biting one-point decision on January 4 in LaGrange, Ga. The Panthers scored a last-second layup to down the Tornados by a final score of 56-55.

Tornados sophomore forward Destiny Williams led the way for Brevard with a high-energy performance of 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

BC's women's side holds a winning mark in the friendly confines of the Bosh, with a 4-3 mark in 2018-19.

After Saturday's action, the BC men's team hosts Piedmont College (2-14, 2-8 USAS) on Tuesday, January 22 at 7:30 p.m., while the women's side travels to Lookout Mountain, Ga. for a mid-week tilt against Covenant College (5-12, 3-6 USAS) on Wednesday, January 23 at 6 p.m.
