Men’s Basketball Set for Exhibition Test at South Carolina State

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Men's Basketball team will make its final preparations for the 2018-19 regular season as they travel to Orangeburg, S.C. for an exhibition game against the NCAA Division I South Carolina State Bulldogs.

This meeting marks the second-straight season that the two programs have met, as the Tornados matched up with the Bulldogs in an exhibition contest last season in Orangeburg, S.C.

The Tornados, led by seventh-year Head Coach Lee Burgess, return a total of 10 players from last season's squad. Brevard also welcomes 11 new members, as the Tornados field a roster of 21 student-athletes. The young squad features 10 freshmen, seven sophomores, three juniors, and one lone senior Ke'vel Kingsberry.

Brevard returns its third-leading scorer from 2017-18, Levi Lamb. The junior from Atlanta, Ga. averaged 11.9 ppg, shooting 44.3% on the year.

After its exhibition contest against South Carolina State, BC makes the trip to Toccoa, Ga. to open the season against Toccoa Falls College. The men will open their season alongside the women's team on Friday, with the women set to tip off at 6 p.m. BC's men's squad will tip off after the women with a scheduled 8 p.m. start time on Friday, Nov. 10.
