BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard's Stevie Williams was recognized by the USA South on Wednesday when he was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team by the league.

The senior point guard for the Tornados wrapped up the 2017-18 campaign by ranking in the top three of 15 statistical categories including minutes played (705-1st), , field goals attempted (235-t1st), free throws made (46-1st), free throws attempted (81-1st), offensive rebounds (28-1st), defensive rebounds (63-1st), total rebounds (91-1st), assists (67-1st), steals (35-1st), blocks (13-2nd), field goals made (100-2nd), total points (268-2nd), points per game (12.8-2nd), 3-point field goals made (22-3rd) and 3-point field goals made (69-3rd).

Williams eclipsed double figure points in 17 of 21 games this season, scoring a season-high 20 in a 33-minute effort at Pfeiffer, where he finished 7-of-15 from the field, 3-of-4 from the 3-point line and pulled down five rebounds.

Williams got his season off to a hot start, scoring double figures in the first 10 games as he averaged 13.6 points per contest in that stretch. His best game in that span came on Jan. 6, 2018, at Ferrum, when he tallied 17 points by virtue of hitting 7-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.

He recently put the finishing touches on a four-year career for the Tornados, started 100 games from 2014-18, missing only one game in that span. Williams tallied 1,081 points, 243 assists and 145 steals in a Tornado uniform, averaging 10.9 points per game in the process.

The High Point, N.C., native topped the 20-point plateau on 15 occasions during his Tornado career, finishing with a career-best 31 as he hit 12-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-4 from 3-point range at North Greenville on November 19, 2016.
