Williams Scores 15 Points in his Final Game as a Tornado

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.- Senior guard Stevie Williams played his final game as a Brevard Tornado and finished with a team-high 15 points in the 84-58 loss to Covenant on Tuesday night.

Williams led Brevard (4-18) in scoring and was followed by JaMarquis Johnson and Levi Lamb, who each finished with 10 points. The trio combined for 18-of-33 (42.4%) from the floor and knocked down six 3-pointers. On the Covenant (16-8) side, James Mitchell scored all 21 of his points on seven 3-pointers to lead all scorers in the game.

The Scots passed the ball with efficiency in the contest, as they tallied 17 assists while only committing 13 turnovers. On the other end of the floor, the Tornados were only able to record seven assists while turning the ball over 19 times.

In the first half Brevard's offense was highlighted by Williams, who recorded a team-high eight points by knocking down two treys and converted on a layup. Demari Hopper distributed the ball around well for the Tornados, as he dished out a team-high three assists.

The Tornado's second half scoring was led by Levi Lamb, after finishing the first half with only one point the sophomore forward scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting with one 3-pointer. 

Freshman Cannon Lamb finished the game just shy of a double-double, as he finished with nine points and led all players with eight rebounds in the game.
