Noted recruiting ace, Eric Gallon joined Brevard College in February of 2017 as assistant head coach and running backs coach.

A standout football prospect from Kathleen High School in Lakeland, FL, Gallon went onto play for coach Bill Snyder at Kansas State from 1989-1992. A three-year letter winner, Gallon served as team captain his senior season and rushed for 1,960 with seven 100-yard plus rushing performances. After college, he spent time with the Bill Parcell-led New England Patriots.

Following his playing career, Gallon returned to his native Central Florida where he founded and served as CEO of Global Youth Services, working with at-risk youth and starting his own company, Correctional Service Corporation. He was Vice President of the Operations in the Juvenile Division while calling both Bartow and Sarasota, FL home. After helping relationships between state and local officials regarding the welfare of youth, Gallon returned to the gridiron sidelines at George Jenkins High School.

For four seasons, Gallon served as a high school offensive coordinator before being elevated to head coach. His final year, he implemented effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques to improve the school’s record to 6-4 record, good for District Runner-Up, following a winless season the year before. Coach Gallon then entered the college coaching ranks, joining Youngstown State where he made an immediate impact with Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Jerry Rice Award finalist, Martin Ruiz, who rushed for 1,320 yards on 265 carries plus eight 100-yard performances. Gallon also served as team chaplain and spearheaded mentoring activities for players with the local Big Brother Program.

Beginning in 2015, Gallon joined Bill Khayat and Dynomite Kuhn at Tennessee State, serving as the lead housing liaison between the university and athletic department. He also assumed the role of Summer Camp and Clinic Director, including the Little Tigers Youth Camp, and a one-day showcase in Memphis and Nashville. His running backs averaged 123.4 yards per game and amassed 1860 yards rushing.

Gallon still ranks in the top ten all-time on the Kansas State Wildcats career 1,000-yard rushing list. Twice he eclipsed over 150 yards in a game versus Missouri (11/16/91) and against Indiana State (9/7/91), and strung together three straight 100-yard rushing games against Iowa State, Missouri, and Oklahoma State. His son, Eric Gallon II, currently plays at Kansas State University.
