Virginia native Eric Lambert joined the Brevard College football staff in August of 2018, working with the defensive line and assisting in equipment operations.

With a strength and conditioning background, Lambert has worked primarily on the defensive side of the ball while previously recruiting Mecklenburg County, NC. In addition to high school coaching at Providence Day School in Charlotte, Coach Lambert was part of one of the most celebrated postgraduate programs in the country, Fork Union Military Academy, which annually turns out athletes who go on to be part of some of the top college football programs in the nation and has over 200 players in the National Football League.

Under the tutelage of famed Fork Union Head Coach, John Shuman, Lambert filled a variety of roles, serving as defensive line coach, linebackers coach, and assistant offensive line/tight ends, before being elevated to the role of coordinating the entire defense. This skill proved valuable during his time as defensive coordinator for the CanAM all-star game representing Team Canada in the country’s top recruited game for mid-year postgraduate football players.

His first stint in college football came in 2016 when Coach Lambert joined the startup NAIA program at St. Andrews University, which is a division of Webber International University. Because of this unique partnership, Coach Lambert recruited both Greater Charlotte, leaned upon his time in the postgraduate ranks, and added the areas of Florida, Upstate South Carolina, and Texas to his recruiting territory.

Coach Lambert received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Virginia in 2010 and followed that up with a master’s degree in kinesiology from Harding University in 2011.
