BREVARD, N.C. – Following an impressive 27-6 win over Christopher Newport last Saturday and a shutdown defensive performance which held the CNU Captains to just six points, senior defensive back Quentin Jackson has been selected to D3football.com's Team of the Week for the cornerback position.

Jackson tallied an interception, six tackles (five solo, one assist) and a tackle-for-loss in Brevard's victory over Christopher Newport.

Jackson's efforts were part of a stout collective defensive effort which forced three turnovers, allowed under 70 rushing yards, and held Christopher Newport to six points – the first time the Captain's offense has been held to just six points since the 2016 season.

With the selection, he becomes only the second Brevard College Football player to receive this weekly national honor since BC announced its transition to NCAA DIII – the first being BC alumnus Tyler Gregory back in the 2017 season.

Brevard College Football returns to action this Saturday, September 28 when the Tornados visit Columbia, S.C. for a game against Allen University (1-1), with kickoff slated for 5 p.m. The Yellow Jackets and Tornados squared off in last year's season-finale, where the Tornados claimed a 46-10 victory.
