Bubba Craven of Brevard College to Compete in National Bowl

BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College senior wide receiver Bubba Craven will compete this weekend at the 2018 National Bowl, the only current postseason all-star game showcasing the top seniors from NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA schools.  The game, which attracts a multitude of professional scouts, will take place this Sunday, December 9 at 9:30 a.m. at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Craven, a native of Pleasant Garden, N.C., was named to the 2018 USA South All-Conference First-Team after his record-breaking efforts for Brevard College. Craven concluded his time as a BC Tornado with 101 career receptions for 1,530 yards and 19 touchdowns with a 54.6 average yards per game, which are all BC all-time career receiving records. Craven holds multiple single-game and single-season receiving records at Brevard College as well, including single-game touchdowns (4) and single-season receiving yards (868), receptions, and average yards-per-catch (17.4).

Craven was one of 52 players selected to the National Team which will square off against the American Team in Sunday's National Bowl. Craven's National Team will be coached by former NFL player and current Virginia-Lynchburg Head Coach Bobby Rome.

Craven and the other National Bowl participants will begin their all-star bowl experience on Friday with team meetings, player measurements and practice at Daytona Beach Stadium.  On Saturday, Craven and his teammates will practice again at the stadium followed by team photos.  On Sunday's game day, there will be a walk-thru practice at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 9:30 a.m. kickoff.
